A. School Executive Micro-Political Leadership: The school executive develops systems and relationships to leverage staff expertise and influence the school’s identity, culture and performance.
Standard 7A Reflection: This year, I attended the Durham Public Schools' Assistant Principal Leadership Academy. These meeting were organized and facilitated by Dr. Stacy Stewart, the Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Schools. I partnered with other Assistant Principals in the district to review standards in depth via current principals and presentations on best practices and other district supports. This helped me to get to know the names and faces of other executive leaders in Durham Public Schools as well as build a relationship with my Assistant Principal, Duane Roberts.
